We are very excited to announce this album from Erreth-Akbe, another dear friend of ours at the Glade, and another alumni. Having joined the label for the first Fableglade release, FGR001, and subsequently the split with Fogweaver, FGR009, we needn’t say how honored we are to have this artist back. Fableglade has been a passion project for us for the last two years and counting, and to have an artist like this return to the roster brings us immense joy. Suffice to say this has been an exciting and emotional announcement for us. And what a return this is. “A Lantern Swathed” is the third full length from this breathtakingly narrative driven project. Based entirely on the second Earthsea book, the Tombs of Atuan, this album ventures deep into labyrinthine tombs and takes us on an epic journey. This album is phenomenal, ranging from bombastic moments to moments of serenity, and with openers and closers that bring us to tears with every listen. Outside of the Gladekeeper’s attachment to the source material with which Erreth-Akbe is based, Erreth-Akbe is truly something special—something magical. Now, after this long write up… Witness the magic for yourself…

The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks.
