Part of the Spring Harvest '21 Batch

We are so thrilled to bring Precious to Fableglade. This is a project that is of deep, inexplicable importance to us. Precious is some of the most emotional neoclassical dungeon synth around, with an emphasis on storytelling. “He Has Abandoned Us” is an album that was released back in 2018, initially self-released on cassette. However, there has been great demand for this album, including for us here at the glade. So we are very excited to offer it here, reissued with all new art by Juliette Enloe, whose art is also featured on Precious’ “A Promise” and “Innocence” albums. With the new art, they bring the same emotionally striking approach as these other albums, which is matched perfectly by the somber music of Precious. This cassette also comes with an enclosed story that follows the album. As Precious states, “This album follows the story of a man who has lost his Wife and Daughter to the plague. After burying their bodies, he is so overcome by grief that he seeks to hang himself in the forested hills. While wandering the hills, he comes across a centuries old, overgrown temple. He is so struck by its beauty, and sees this as a sign that God will give him guidance through his suffering, and bring new meaning into his empty life.”

My favorite out of the three I believe.The sound is more aggressive and fits the cover art of what looks like a perilous journey for the protagonist. Fits well at being the second in the trilogy of albums. Every song is good and the cassette tape and package is of good quality. A Great buy that deserves a vinyl edition. Joshua Laleina
